Like most of us when we meet our people, it was not love at first sight for Sarah & Stephan. They met through mutual friends at pub trivia and Sarah initially thought Stephan was loud and a little obnoxious. Stephan thought Sarah seemed a little boring. Thankfully, time proved them both wrong (although Sarah contends Stephan is still loud). These two bring out the best in each other and thus have found their perfect travel, cooking, movie theater, and sports partner.
They chose to celebrate their marriage at the Boston Exchange Conference Center in Boston’s Seaport District. They loved that the venue fit them so well, while still being a very Boston venue. Afterwards, Sarah said, “The Exchange was so great to work with and we’d recommend them whole heartedly. Planning was easy, the food was good, they made the place look way better than I could have imagined or than I asked them to, and the people working there day-of were amazing.”
Stephan and the guys got ready at the Exchange Conference Center and Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready over at the Seaport Hotel, which had a great little courtyard for her and Stephan’s First Look. And Stephan literally jumped for joy when he saw Sarah for the first time. Find yourself a person who can’t contain their excitement when they see you. 🙂 After the First Look, we wandered around the hotel courtyard and then over to the World Trade Center. Sarah & Stephan both love maps and flags, and the World Trade Center displays a lot of both! Also, when your wedding takes place on the same day as the Harry Potter Convention, just roll with it, even if you have to pose in your wedding garb next to He Who Shall Not Be Named.
It was an amazing day for a wedding and everything was beautiful! The toasts were brilliant and everyone danced and laughed and truly celebrated the happy couple. At the end of the night, we borrowed a groomsman and a bridesmaid, the two people responsible for introducing Sarah and Stephan, and former wedding clients of mine, to set up for a night portrait. Once we nailed it with them, we brought out our bride and groom to get one beautiful last city shot of the night. And they nailed it.
