When I first met Kim Collins, she was a DJ at Eagle 93.7 where I interned. She had a weekend shift, so we didn’t overlap much at the studio, but we occasionally worked events together. I particularly remember working the Marshfield Fair with her. Oh, the weird things that stick in your brain. We lost touch after I left the station, but continued to have mutual friends. At some point, Kim reached out about headshots. It was awesome to reconnect and, since then, we’ve worked together a handful of times! Over the years, Kim transitioned away from radio and now DJs weddings and other events in the greater Boston area (she’s also a Justice of the Peace!).
Kim was creating a new website and knew it was time to update her headshots. We wanted a unique location that would reflect Kim’s fun personality, but also her fun job. This musical mural in Lawrence had been on my location list for a while and Kim loved the idea! John Lennon, Prince, Jimi Hendrix, and Alicia Keyes are all featured in these photos. Perfect for a top Boston DJ.
