Lauren’s mom actually won a photo session with me in a charity raffle! She emailed me saying she’d like to gift the session to her daughter. Lauren recently graduated with a doctorate (!!!) in Physical Therapy and had completed her residency at MGH. She needed some professional photos to launch herself into the professional world.
We met up at the Boston Public Garden very early in the morning. If you ever want the Public Garden to yourself, with some awesome light, early mornings are the way to go! It was September, so the weather was cool and comfortable. It was important to Lauren that her photos look professional, but weren’t just static headshots. She wanted to inject some personality into them as well. To do that, we worked with posing, expression, and even clothing. As you can see, Lauren managed to rock FIVE different looks during her session. Don’t even ask me how (or where) she changed so many times. By incorporating so many looks into her session, Lauren’s photos become that much more versatile. She can use them for work, but she can also use them on websites, social media, LinkedIn, and even a dating site if she wanted.
I truly could have spent all morning chatting with Lauren. Her optimism and dedication inspired me. At a time when things in the world seemed rather bleak, she was a ray of sunshine that made me feel a little better about what the future holds. You can see her determination, enthusiasm, and strength in the photos we captured that morning.
