If you were to flip through my photos from college, Colleen is featured on one of the first few pages (yes, all my college photos are in albums). We met in the very beginning of our freshman year. As life would have it, post-graduation, we would keep in touch sporadically and cross paths when we could. And then came Facebook. Oh, my love-hate relationship with Facebook! But in this instance, it’s purely love. It was one of those days when Colleen and I, sitting in front of our respective computers, staring at our respective screens, and clearly wasting time when we should have been working, realized we had some totally random mutual friends! And then it’s all, “How do you know …..?” “And how do you know …..?” “THAT’S SO CRAZY! Are you going to their holiday party?!” And guess what – we were. And at the first holiday party, she was engaged and nearly married. And at the next one, she was pregnant and I got to meet her husband. And they are both amazing and fun and brilliant and talented people who managed to cook up this adorable little specimen. Two weeks old. And already doing Dr. Evil impressions.
