You know how sometimes life fulfills dreams you never knew you had? I never knew how much I needed to be part of a 16-cart golf cart motley crew racing from the clubhouse to the beach, but I found out at Christine & Chris’ wedding! Navigating the dips and slants of the golf course, all while clutching camera gear and racing alongside other carts, is definitely one of my best wedding memories!
Christine & Chris’ wedding day blew me away from start to finish. Christine & Chris gave each of her bridesmaids a note, the flower girls got bracelets, her family gifted them an artist who painted their first dance, some of the wedding party came dancing into the reception with those little confetti cannons, and cutout faces of Jennifer Aniston and Bruno Mars were involved in the toasts. And let’s not forget the aforementioned golf cart ride to the beach for wedding party portraits! I photographed Christine’s sister Erin’s wedding years ago, so I had an inkling of how much fun the day would be. Photographing siblings’ weddings is awesome because you already know the family and they already know you!
The bride and groom each got ready at houses nearby the wedding venue. Christine’s dress is stunning – that lace! – and the guys looked so handsome in their navy suits. Christine carried a gorgeous bouquet of white hydrangeas and white roses, a classic Cape Cod and beach-inspired combination. They exchanged vows and rings at St. Anthony’s church and then we headed over to the New Seabury Country Club for the reception. We journeyed down to the beach (golf carts!) to photograph the wedding party and everyone was so great. And it’s not easy to maneuver this many people for portraits! If you want proof of how great a couple is, look at the people surrounding them, including a drone portrait along the shore. Afterwards, Christine & Chris stepped away for portraits. Their excitement over being married seeped into every second of our time together.
Christine is one of those people whose smile lights up a room and Chris is her perfect match. And when two people smile all day, people around them smile all day, too. All night long the bride and groom and their guests danced and smiled and danced some more. The room was full of love. They made my job easy! It was an honor to be part of their wedding day!
