Emily & Caroline’s Allandale Farm wedding made my heart sing. A decade ago, I photographed Allandale Farm in Brookline as part of the Boston Homegrown cookbook (yes, I photographed a cookbook!) so when Emily & Caroline first mentioned the farm as their wedding venue, I was so excited! This wedding had everything: brides in colorful dresses, bumpy golf cart rides around the farm, men wearing hats with cat paw prints on them, yoga during cocktail hour, and a big jazz band!
Instead of hiding from each other until the First Look, Emily and Caroline helped each other into their dresses and enjoyed some time together first. On a day when everything moves so quickly, it can be nice to set aside time for just the two of you! Their First Look involved stepping out to show their friends and family how they looked in their dresses. The emotion of the moment did not disappoint. We walked over to the farm for all of their family portraits. Afterwards, we zoomed around the grounds finding gorgeous portrait spots. I could have photographed them all day long!
If you spend any time with Emily & Caroline, you will fall in love with them. I knew from the very first emails we exchanged that they were amazing humans. Everything about their wedding day undeniably represented them. They wore colorful dresses and comfy white shoes. All of the info for the wedding was printed on big boards like the info you see on signs while trail walking. The reception decor was beautiful and bright. You could roast marshmallows over a fire pit. Most importantly, the brides danced and laughed every second they could. As you can imagine, that kind of energy is infectious.
Here’s the team that helped make this day so magical:
