Marathon Monday, a day that brings people all over the city together to celebrate the strength of the human spirit and endurance. It was also the day these two lovebirds locked eyes. Not across a crowded room, but across roof decks. They were each attending separate parties at their friends’ apartments. Marcel caught sight of Danielle on her friend’s roof deck. Despite admiring her from afar, they never spoke. And yet, when Marcel left the party and stepped out onto Comm Ave, Danielle was standing there on the sidewalk. He started to walk away and then thought, “I’m not going to waste my chance!” He walked back over and said hello and the rest is history. This summer I’ll be photographing their wedding!
To honor their perfect meet-cute, we met up at the exact spot they met – a sidewalk on Comm Ave outside of what used to be their friend’s apartment building. We wandered up and down the street, and then made our way over to Newbury street where we found some outdoor seating. Despite everything being chained together, we wiggled our way into some seats and cuddled up. Well, they cuddled up and I stood a polite distance away and photographed them. After a quick stop for hot cocoa, we drove to the Cambridge side of the Charles River to get the views of the city (and some foliage). I loved spending the evening with these two – they are both super sweet and fun to hang out with! Their wedding is going to be fabulous!
