Back Bay Family Session: Nothing You Can Sing That Can’t Be Sung

One of my first real jobs was in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood and I absolutely fell in love with it. I dreamed of having a brownstone apartment on Marlborough Street (which is not an unusual dream, as it turns out). I never got there, having explored urban living in NYC and Los Angeles instead, but it’s always one of my favorite places to visit. Even now I love driving up and down the streets, peeking in windows (Christmas time is the BEST!). I was really excited that this family lives smack dab in the middle of my old stomping grounds. A lot of the places I frequented have moved on, but at least the Colonnade Pool is still kicking it. Nothing like a yummy mudslide high atop the city on a summer’s day. But I digress…

This little bean was about eight months old when we had our session. She loves being (nearly) naked, eating her feet, and chewing on books. And, of course, playing outside with mom and dad. We started the session off at home, and then took a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. The Back Bay offers a bunch of little nooks and crannies for shooting, so we just strolled around looking for good backdrops. It was such a joy spending time with this family of three. How could you not help but smile looking at this little one?!
