Black Rock Country Club Wedding, Alyssa & Ryan: A Harbor In The Tempest

When we pulled up to the Black Rock Country Club for Alyssa and Ryan’s December wedding, the snow had already begun to fall. If you brought your head down to the greenery and looked closely, you could see the shapes of the snowflakes right before more piled on. We had just enough time to wonder if all those millions of snowflakes really could be unique before they disappeared under more. The snow continued to blanket the world, covering it in white and creating an amazing atmosphere for Alyssa and Ryan. Inside the Country Club, everything had that pre-Christmas glow – warm, cozy, and twinkly. The women were busy getting ready in the lady’s locker room, while the men had commandeered the men’s locker room (extra points were awarded to those who found Bill Belichek’s locker – thanks to my second shooter Kristin for getting the photos of the guys!). Alyssa and Ryan brought together an amazing group of friends and family to celebrate with them on their wedding day. The kindness (and joy) exhibited by each of their “people” was truly a reflection of the people they are. They are so friendly and funny and adorable with each other. On her wedding day, Alyssa just bubbled over. And can you blame her? Everything was perfect! We were even able to convince everyone to step outside for some wintry wonderland photos. The combination of a gorgeous bride, snowfall, and a fur wrap is just magical. Derek Holt, of Entertainment Specialists, kept the dance floor packed. Like, the kind of packed where I have to elbow my way through dancing bodies to find some room to plant myself and get some photos! It was awesome.
