Robin and Derek’s love story has come full circle. They met when they were little and reconnected as adults. Now their wedding is in a month! They live down in Georgia, so when I first met them, it was over the phone. They are actually getting married at the same church my brother was married in this past fall, which will be fun. And their reception is going to be at A Tavola, a restaurant here in Winchester. So, basically, this wedding is combining all of my favorite things – very cool couple, very cool wedding, very cool reception, and farm-to-table food.
I met up with Robin and Derek at the Old North Bridge in Concord, MA for their engagement session. I had been there once before for a family session, but we had stuck pretty close to the actual bridge. Little did I know there was all sorts of ground for us to cover. The North Bridge Visitors Center is located in an old estate that’s surrounded by gorgeous landscaping. It was still a little chilly when we were there, so there weren’t a lot of flowers in bloom, but there was still a lot of green. And I love a location that has so much to offer in the way of “backgrounds.”
