Rhiannon and Derek live on the west coast, so our first in-person meeting was at their engagement session right before Christmas! We thought we might have a lovely winter day to meet up and have a little fun. Nature had other plans. It rained. Like with a capital “R.” Instead of canceling altogether, we braved the weather and made it work, a la Tim Gunn. That meant taking the T up to Copley Square where we could play in the mall. More specifically, the mall bridge that connects the Prudential Center to the Copley Mall. Since it was a weekend, and right before Christmas, the mall was packed! Luckily, Rhiannon and Derek weren’t concerned with the onlookers and I enjoyed the movement and the chaos. 
We entertained ourselves inside just long enough for the sun to come out and for us to make a move outside. We explored the area near the Christian Science Center and the Boston Public Library. We covered some ground! In the end, I got to learn all about Rhiannon and Derek, all about their wedding, and we got some pretty amazing engagement photos out of it!
