Jenny and Thomas got married on Cape Cod this past summer and it was such an honor to be their photographer. Jenny is Doug’s first cousin and an amazing artist! I’ve seen her portraiture firsthand and it blows my mind – for real. The couple’s wedding ceremony was held at the Our Lady of Victory church in Centerville and the reception was held at the Harbor Point Restaurant in Cummaquid. Now, Jenny and Thomas have a pretty spectacular story. They met in their freshman geometry class. In high school! Jenny was 13 and Thomas was 14. According to Jenny, they became best friends right away, and the rest, as they say, is history! Approximately a decade later, Thomas proposed by taking Jenny for tea at The Taj in Boston. When they finished tea, he asked if she wanted to see the view from the top floor. When they got up to the rooftoop, there was already a table set up with champagne and a book of poems Thomas had written for Jenny. Such a romantic proposal! I can only imagine the love (and magic) it takes for a couple to grow up together like that. The life changes we go through from early teens to adulthood are immeasurable. And yet, on the day he proposed, and on their wedding day, they were still giddy in love. Pretty amazing, right?
Here are some of my favorite photos from their wedding day…
Jenny and Thomas, Doug and I loved being able to share in the joy of your wedding day with you! It was truly awesome. And of course, Thomas had some mad dance skills! Congratulations!
