When I was a little girl, I went to my first “black tie” party at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum. Ever since then, it has loomed large in my memory as a magical place. It was such a wonderful pleasure to be invited to photograph Julie and Rich’s wedding there. They had such a fabulous wedding day. The perfect fall day. Surrounded by all of their favorite people. And lots and lots and lots of love. Not to mention, two ring bearers who rode down the aisle in a mini police car!
When I photographed Julie and Rich for their engagement session, they were a little nervous. Most couples seem to feel pretty goofy in front of the camera at first – they don’t know how to stand or what to do with their hands – but all of that wears off in minutes. And, of course, on the wedding day all the goofiness is gone (or *almost* all). I started the day with the ladies who were getting ready at the home Julie and Rich share. My second shooter, Steph, hung out with the guys at the Hotel Indigo, where they were getting ready. Then we met up at the Auto Museum for the ceremony and reception. What a celebration! Here are some of my favorite photos from the day…
