Honestly, words can’t describe the love I feel for these photos (and this family). Mom and Dad are two of the most amazing people I know and I love watching them as parents. Their daughters are so lucky to have them!
We carved out a little time before Baby Girl #3 arrived to do a little family/maternity session. It was like all the stars aligned for this shoot. They met me over in Lexington on a beautiful late summer day and we got to work. Now, I’ve photographed this family a million and one times and I’m always happy with the photos we get, but this day? This day topped them all. Looking through these photos as I was editing literally made me cry. Maybe it was the experience of having witnessed the session and seen the unadulterated joy and love. Watching the little girls run around, limbs flailing in that wacky way that only happens when you are truly unencumbered by social opinion, told me everything I needed to know about childhood. And about their childhood – about feeling loved and safe and blissful.
