When you’re pregnant, there are days it seems to last forever and you just can’t wait until the whole ordeal is over. You’re hot. You’re cold. You’re sore and achey. You have heartburn. You’re peeing every few minutes. And eating like it’s going out of style. But whether you do it once or five times, in the scheme of things, it goes by so quickly. Before you know it, you’re holding that wriggly new human in your arms. I have had the pleasure of photographing this family for years, from wedding to maternity to first baby, and now to second baby. Mom and I wanted to make sure we captured some special moments between her and her first baby before the new baby made his debut. And when mom saw these photos for the first time, she said, “These photos are meaningful in a way I can’t put words to.” Years from now, I want this little one to look at these photos with her mother and to recognize the utter love and devotion that’s palpable in every image.
