Migis Lodge Wedding, Second Shooting: Keep Your Head Up

Ah, the details. They hide the beauty and the devil. And, as a second shooter, they’re often the subject of my photographs. Every year, I watch the weekends fill up with the weddings of awesome, hilarious, unique couples that I have the pleasure of photographing. Then, on the days that aren’t full, I often second shoot for friends of mine. My responsibilities sometimes include photographing the groom while he’s getting ready, focusing on the details, and just backing up the primary photographer. This wedding is one I second shot for Mark Andrew Photography way back in June. The wedding took place at Migis Lodge on Sebago Lake in Maine. I LOVE MAINE! And this location is just one of the many reasons why; it was amazing. Leah & Steven, our super-cool bride and groom, filled every nook and cranny with amazing wedding details. I had so much fun at this wedding. Allana came, too, and the three of us had a blast working together. I spent a good chunk of the reception rocking the photo booth Mark set up, which was awesome. And when the end of the night came, I’m just saying that the three of us may have jumped in the lake and enjoyed a late-night swim. It was the perfect cool down for the 3 hour ride home! When any day includes Mark, Allana, and an amazing couple like Leah and Steven, I know for sure I’m in the right job.

Here are a few of my photos from the day…
