This Minute Man National Park session stars an adorable little family. I first met Shana, the mom, through her sister (we worked together at a mall photo studio). Shana agreed to model for me back when I was still creating a portfolio. We reconnected when I photographed her sister’s wedding and I was thrilled to photograph her family for their fall family session. We met up at Minute Man National Park in Lincoln. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot because it looks different in every season and there is no end to the nooks and crannies you can find there. Plus, there’s plenty of parking!
In early October, the scenery was perfect for photos. Plenty of leaves on the ground, and plenty of leaves still on the trees! These little boys smiled easily, which always makes my job fun. I love when families show up to their sessions ready to play. We spend so much time staring at screens these days (myself included) that it’s nice to have an hour or so where you only need to focus on your family and having fun with them. Having that attitude transforms a photo session from an obligation to a bonus. There was no shortage of playfulness at this Minute Man National Park family session and I love the photos we captured!
