Nagog Hill Orchards Senior Portraits, J: Seashell Eyes, Windy Smile

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing this absolutely adorable and charming young lady for her senior portraits! We traveled out to Nagog Hill Orchard to take advantage of the gorgeous autumn weather we were having. It was the perfect location. I always enjoy photographing seniors and learning about what colleges they’re looking at, what classes they’re thinking about – they have so much AWESOMENESS in their future! J, of course, was no different. And I’m pretty sure that after our session, she threw some shin guards on and went and kicked some serious soccer ass.

Here are a couple of “traditional” senior photos. Doesn’t she look like Alice in Wonderland? Gorgoeus! And I can’t get enough of her freckles!

The following handful of photos were taken a little differently. After attending a workshop with We Are The Parsons, I felt inspired to experiment with a different lens, the 35mm 1.4. You get a little distortion (because I’m shooting so close to the subject) and some awesome backgrounds! I love these images SO MUCH! I think there’s something about them that reveals so much more about the subject’s personality!
