Newton Backyard Family Session, The A Family

Today’s blog post features this very cool (because of the kids, not me) Newton backyard family session. This is far from the first time I’ve photographed this family, though!

A very long time ago, my good friend Jill, who I worked with at Portrait Simple (that’s a story for another day!) passed my name along to her neighbor. Jill’s lovely neighbor then hired me to photograph her two children at their home in Newton and the rest is history!  It is probably uncool of me to gush, but I am forever grateful to the families that continue to hire me year after year. I love catching up with everyone. We talk about summer adventures, college plans, what books we’re reading, and what we’re watching on TV. The kids are comfortable in front of the camera because they know who I am. These relationships are truly a gift.

I thought it would be fun to share a few photos from our family sessions over the years. These two started out as two little cuties, but as you can see, they are now very cool young adults. This latest fall family session took place in their Newton backyard. These two never went through a phase where they wouldn’t stand next to each other, or hug each other, for photos. I hope they realize how rare that is in a sibling relationship! They always shine in front of the camera and this year was no different.
