Peaks Island Wedding, Lindsay & Carlos: Only The Best For You

Carlos stood up, by the ocean, waiting for Lindsay to walk down the aisle. They hadn’t seen each other yet, and he was steeling himself for an emotional reaction. The music started playing. The guests stood up. Lindsay and her father rounded the corner and stood at the head of the aisle before making their way down. Carlos? Lindsay took his breath away. Tears started falling. It was one of the most emotional walks down the aisle I’ve ever seen. And then the uncontrollable tears turned into uncontrollable joy.

Lindsay and Carlos got married on a fall day on Peaks Island, Maine. Peaks Island is just a short ferry ride away from Portland, where Lindsay is originally from. They chose to get ready at separate residences on the island, but everything came together at the Trefethen-Evergreen Improvement Association (TEIA) which served as the venue for their ceremony and reception. My second shooter Sarah kicked it with the guys as they got ready. They had a little superhero theme going on – Carlos sported Batman cufflinks and all the groomsmen wore superhero socks with their suits. Meanwhile, I got to hang out with Lindsay and her bridesmaids. Lindsay sat in the make-up chair, a whirlwind of activity swirling around her, and just smiled. I don’t think she could have been more ready to marry Carlos that day.

Such a beautiful location and such a beautiful couple. I knew Lindsay and Carlos would deliver the awesomeness on their wedding day from the minute I showed up to their engagement session. They did not disappoint. From the emotional ceremony to the romantic portraits to the crazy party, they smiled the entire time. Really and truly. They just radiated happiness. The following photos are some of my favorites from the day. And here are some of the people who helped pull it all off…

A special thank you to Lindsay & Carlos’ friends and family who helped set up the room and made it look so beautiful! And to the Mr. who made a special trip on the ferry (despite having a penchant for sea sickness) to deliver a light to me because I wanted to experiment!

Congratulations, Lindsay & Carlos! Thanks for inviting me along for the ride!
