Kirsten and Sean ended up with a very windy fall Maine day for their engagement session! There were points when I think all three of us had tears streaming down our faces from the wind! But you know what can cure that? Doughnut holes from Duckfat. Run, do not walk, as soon as you can. Kirsten and Sean arranged for us to begin our session at a little shop in Portland called Vena’s Fizz House. Vena’s Fizz House specializes in amazing mocktails, and now, at night, cocktails. They also have a little retail shop where you can purchase everything you need to be an amazing at-home bartender (including some awesome vintage barware!). It was the perfect place for us to start our session! We were able to brace ourselves for the cold, and imbibe a little liquid courage of the mock-variety. They had also participated in a Visual Voice exercise, answering questions about their relationship prior to our session. Through Visual Voice, not only do I get to learn more about who they are as a couple, but according to Kirsten, you get to talk about all the things you love about the person you love which makes you fall in love even more! It’s a total win-win! So I got to explore some of Portland with this awesome in-love couple, including taking a drive to the beach where Sean proposed! And when our session was over, we hit up Duckfat for a snack, some drinks, and those legendary doughnut holes.
