I’m back for Part Two of Rob & Hannah’s wedding. After we finished the family portraits, we had some time before the ceremony, which was great! Everyone got to hang out and relax a little before they had to walk down the aisle!
I had to include a photo of Hannah’s grandmothers. These women were absolute marvels! I mean it. One of them walked into the room and looked around at everyone and said, “Everyone looks splendiferous!” She really used that word! It made my night! And they did not shy away from the dance floor! It was such an honor to be able to photograph them out there dancing with their grandchildren. Those photos are the reason I’m a photographer.
It doesn’t matter that they had already seen each other that day – Rob still beamed when he saw Hannah walking down that aisle!
Hannah and Rob organized their wedding day timeline so that we were also able to grab some photos of just the two of them after the ceremony. We didn’t eat up too much of their cocktail hour time, but it allowed us to grab some fun, cinematic portraits of them in the lobby of the Omni Parker House.
It felt like we were on the set of a movie! A classic black & white movie. Something starring Grace Kelly and Cary Grant. A little lighting, a cool elevator door, some dark wood, a gorgeous bride, a handsome groom, and voila! Magic! Next time on Meg’s blog – part three, the reception! Stay tuned!
