Jenny and Maria are fabulous. When I first learned about their wedding, two words came up that convinced me it was going to be AWESOME, and those two words were: disco lounge. Does it get any cooler than that? Jenny and Maria worked closely with Mandy from Hummingbird Bridal to create the perfect vibe for their day. For them, that meant the ceremony and reception room were decorated with twinkle lights and hydrangeas. It became “The Gold Room.” During cocktail hour, they rocked it out in a purple and silver disco lounge that was kept a surprise from them until they walked in after the ceremony. So amazing. But as awesome as all the details were (yay for fun mustaches!), at its core, the wedding day is always about a marriage and about celebrating the love that two people share for each other. And Jenny and Maria are IN LOVE. From the tops of their heads to the tips of their toes.
I met up with them at the Seaport Hotel, which was our location for the whole day. Jenny and Maria opted to do a first look so we had the time (and the light) to do all of the portraits of the two of them together. We were able to use a golf cart to get around the grounds and made our way from the hotel to the World Trade Center and back again. Any day I get to ride a golf cart is a pretty great day. The ceremony, led by Elly Jackson, was poignant and celebratory and gorgeous. And then the party began! DJ Zombi was at the helm and he was awesome. I can’t stress enough how awesome a team Jenny and Maria assembled! Working with Mandy, Elly, and DJ Zombi was fun and seamless and stress-free. We had a blast! The bartender even joined the guests on the dance floor for a little crazy dancing. Now you know that’s a good party! Here are some of my favorite photos from the day….
