When I showed up to photograph this little one, she was curled up, fast asleep against mom’s chest. It is currently her favorite place to be! She soon realized something was going on because she woke up and just delivered with the cutest baby expressions ever. I was occasionally on the receiving end of a little infant stink-eye, but that’s just an occupational hazard! I photographed mom & dad’s wedding, and their maternity session, so being able to capture them at home with their new baby was just heartwarming!
Baby L loved being snuggled by mom and dad. At a month old, she’s already an expert at life. For instance, being held is WAY better than being set down. Dry diapers are WAY better than wet ones. Mommy is not just a good place to sleep, but she’s also the main food source. Daddy’s voice inspires a cooing response. Watching these parents absolutely dote on their new baby makes my heart sing. Ninety percent of my job is about witnessing love., witnessing tiny day-to-day miracles, and capturing them for families to remember. It is a beautiful thing!
I love a baby who’s totally skeptical of what I might be doing. “Who is that lady? Why is she holding a giant black box? When is she leaving? Why do I have this bow on my head?
