When Corey first reached out to me about a maternity session, I was so excited! I photographed her and Matt’s wedding a few years ago and they are the best! Knowing that they thought of me when it came time to celebrate this new milestone meant the world to me. Little did I know, this maternity session adventure was about to get more exciting! Like with any portrait inquiry, I asked Corey if she had ideas for location and I threw out some suggestions. Then she came up with a brilliant plan! She and Matt have season tickets to the Bruins and she thought it would be cool to meet up at TD Garden for the session. Not only was it a location that means something to them, but Matt loved the idea! To have both of them excited for the session is a total win for a photographer! The next step was making it happen. We put out some feelers, asked around, and figured it out! So one day in December, we walked into an empty TD Garden and got to work!
Now, I’m not really a sports-loving gal, so the Bruins don’t mean a ton to me personally. That day, though, being inside the Garden, with the place to ourselves, was absolutely magical. There was a palpable energy that all of us could feel. I loved exploring the nooks and crannies of the space with people who were passionate about it! The space became another subject in the photos. Not only did we want to capture Corey and Matt at this special time in their lives, but we wanted to showcase our environment. These are some of my favorite photos from our session!
