Melanie and Eric chose a perfect fall day to get married at Bittersweet Farm in Westport, MA. Which is great, because one of Melanie’s favorite details about their wedding was the time of year! You can’t beat a fall wedding in New England! And, the beautiful fall weather meant that guests could play the yard games they set up on the grounds of the farm.
Both Melanie and Eric got ready with their respective moms and wedding parties at nearby homes. The guys even made time for frisbee and grilling! Ah, to not have to worry about a hair and make-up schedule! We arranged to do the couple’s First Look at Horseneck Beach, which had this amazing walkway down the beach, right to an area with some tall dune grass. We positioned Eric on the walk and Melanie walked right up behind him as her bridesmaids looked on from a distance. They hugged before Eric even had a chance to drink it all in! His reaction was perfect! We photographed the wedding party on the beach, and then headed back to Bittersweet Farm for the family photos and the ceremony.
As Melanie and Eric recessed back down the aisle, our drone flew up and photographed them with all of their guests! It’s a perfect way to capture everyone at your wedding at once. With the ceremony over, guests played Eric’s yard games outside and enjoyed the venue. Inside the barn, twinkle lights greeted the guests warmly as they walked in. Everything looked perfect! Surrounded by their family and friends, Melanie and Eric danced the night away (and maybe ate some yummy desserts).
