Who can pass up a shoot and brunch on Venice Beach? Not me! In my quest to be more bicoastal, I worked a little while I was last out in Los Angeles. But it’s hard to call it work when I get to hang out with these two. Rochelle is another one of those people who came into my life and thankfully never left. She gave me my very first Sprinkles cupcake, so you know she’s a keeper! I’ve been photographing this little monkey since he was only a couple months old. We’ve covered both coasts together, too. I loved being able to document them in all of their California coastal glory. They were both born to be beach babies. Running along the sand, stomping in the waves, watching the surfers, chasing the seagulls. Who needs the rollercoaster when you have everything nature provides at your fingertips? After playing on the beach for a bit, we took a walk along the canals. If you’ve never done this when visiting Los Angeles, I highly recommend it. All of the walkways are connected with picturesque bridges and the homes are so architecturally interesting! And my little friend, and all his energy, just sped along. Up and down the paths, over the bridges and back again. And after a successful photo session, a cake pop! All is right with the world.
