Rhiannon and Derek are totally and utterly in love. Which I love. Of course. Here’s what I can tell you. They started dating in high school and as part of Derek’s wedding gift to Rhiannon, he gave her the first Valentine’s Day card she ever gave to him. Did you follow that? She, of course, cried when she opened it, along with everyone else in the room. Now, I’m the kind of girl who keeps everything (EVERYTHING), so this gesture truly spoke to me and is the perfect reflection of their love for each other, past and present and future. I used the card in one of their ring shots, so you’ll get a little glimpse of it below. And the rest of their wedding day? I couldn’t have asked for anything better! Wonderful people, wonderful venues, wonderful weather – it was amazing. I just fell in love with all of it. And the dancing! Oh, the dancing! I’m pretty sure Derek and his siblings are professional dancers. They were doing tricks I couldn’t even fathom. My camera could barely keep up. It was a sight to behold! It was truly my pleasure to be a part of this wedding. The reception was held at the Westford Regency and they did an amazing job! The event tent was decorated with paper lanterns from Boston Uplights and they perfectly matched the wedding colors (not to mention, they made for beautiful photos!). From a photography standpoint, there were also a ton of nooks and crannies around the venue to take photos, which is always a bonus! Rhiannon and Derek had a fabulous team of vendors behind them, so I want to make sure and give them all a shout-out:
