When I photographed this family in the beginning of May, this little girl couldn’t wait to show me all her tricks. She could go upside down on the bars and swings, climb to the top of her swingset and hang, climb the trees in the yard and perch, and a myriad of other little things kids can do that adults can’t even dream of doing. An acrobat, for sure! It’s the beauty of childhood. And her boundless energy made her a joy to photograph – so much to see and do! And we managed to get not just photos of her, but photos of her parents, too. When you’re left to taking your own photos, there’s always one person missing – the one who’s behind the camera. This time, they all got to be in front of the camera, together. Just giving hugs and having fun and welcoming spring.
