Spending time with high school seniors always energizes me! There is so much potential and optimism. I love hearing about their plans and dreams for their futures. Then I totally start talking about *my* college experience like it was yesterday when really it was a million years ago. These Winchester High School senior portraits were taken in the student’s backyard. We kept things simple because we knew he just wanted a photo for the yearbook and maybe a couple of nice portraits for his mom. The great thing about senior portrait sessions is that they can be as simple or as involved as you want them to be. If you want to change your outfit a few times, we can do that. If you just need a photo for the school yearbook, we can do that, too! I’m happy to photograph all the seniors!
With these Winchester High School senior portraits, we focused on getting a photo for the school yearbook. That usually means a vertical (or portrait) photo, from the chest up. A typical headshot. We utilized some different spaces in the yard to get some variety in backgrounds, but it was also important to switch up the composition. Since I knew Mom would want some handsome photos of her son, we also grabbed some horizontal (or landscape) photos, plus some full-body photos. I even managed to capture some great candid shots. There’s nothing better than a good laughing photo. I love that I can see different facets of this senior’s personality in these photos.
